Young ÔfoodiesÕ battle it out for tasty technology
Students at five secondary schools in Macroom and surrounding areas will battle it out in whatÕs being billed as a tensely competitive teen cookery competition at this weekend's Macroom Food Festival 2012. Preliminary details have been announced of a food festival that will see the picturesque town of Macroom transformed into a vibrant hub of foodie activity.
On Sunday, 30th September, 2012, Macroom town centre and surrounding areas will host its first artisan food festival and awards event, with a selection of indoor and outdoor venues serving up food demonstrations, discussions and debates, plus food stalls, barbeques and a ‘feast’ of family entertainment.
Organisers of Co. Cork’s newest food festival say the event will be a fun day out for families, as well as a key culinary weekend in the diaries of serious foodies.
